Only in Legazpi!

This beautiful sight is a famous spot in my books during school days. It never occurred to me that i'll be having an opportunity to take a closer look one day.

One of the Philippines' most popular tourist destination, Mayon Volcano, is partly within the city borders of Legazpi City, the capital of the province of Albay in the Philippines.

Fresh from Caramoan Island, we drop off to this largest city of Bicol Region. It is the center of tourism, education, health services, commerce and transportation in the Bicol Region. Friendship is truly everywhere. One of our colleague in Riyadh resides in the place who generously  provides our overnight stay. Since we arrived   late afternoon, we decided to stay at home and prepare our dinner. Bicolano is naturally known cook expert. Our appetite was well fed that night. We created a good bond just by chatting and food tripping that lasts almost past midnight.

The Cagsawa Ruins are the remnants of a Franciscan church built in 1724 during the Hispanic occupation, which was later destroyed by violent volcanic eruption in Feb 1814. They are considered a symbol reflecting the dangers of living near an enormous, active volcano and are one of the biggest tourist attractions in the region.

Good Morning Legazpi City!

We made a quick tour  over Legazpi City before we headed back to Manila. We chased this iconic view, tried some extraordinary local delicacies and lastly bought some souvenirs for "pasalubong".

Unfortunately, the goal for a perfect jump shot was a failure, haha.

The authentic spicy shake is a must-try for every visitor. Made with different flavors but with a twist of chili taste that slowly bites on the tummy. 'Twas exemplary. Only in Legazpi!

What a wonderful sight it is  to wake up everyday!
